invenio lets you explore the fonds held by the Federal Archives. You can view digitised documents and request archive material for use in reading rooms. invenio is constantly updated.

invenio online contains information on archive material with no search restrictions. However, this does not necessarily mean the archive material can be accessed without usage restrictions.

All data held by the Federal Archives in ARGUS is successively transferred to invenio. We recommend running a parallel search in ARGUS in case you are looking for SAPMO documents.

Reference codes may change during the transfer of data from ARGUS to invenio. Therefore, some of the reference codes found in ARGUS cannot be reserved or requested through invenio. If you would like to use archive material with such reference codes in a reading room, please request this via email or in the reading room in Berlin-Lichterfelde.
