Berlin-Wilmersdorf

The Federal Film Archive has also been located in Berlin since 1990, and since then combines the previously separated film archives of East and West Germany.

All non-technical organisational units of the Film Archive occupy two floors in a neoclassical administration building in the Fehrbelliner Platz in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. The reading room contains eight places. Films and film-related materials are made accessible and used in the building. Other rooms are used to store the archive materials used here. This location is a provisional solution, since after completion of new buildings and renovation measures, part will be transferred to Hoppegarten and part to Berlin-Lichterfelde.
